Favorite 4th of July Food

As we celebrate the 4th if July here in the U.S., I am reminded of what this holiday means to me personally. It is not only the birthday of our country but it was my mothers birthday as well. For this reason I have always loved the 4th of July because it was always about birthday barbeques, camping or family reunions on the farm or the lake. No matter which activity we did, there was always lots of great food. This is a recollection of some of my favorites throughout the years. What are some of your 4th of July favorites? Please comment below and share with us. First Favorite 4th of July Food My first favorite 4th of July food is my Aunt Polly’s baked beans. (Found on page 68 in my cookbook Damn Delicious Dishes (available on Amazon). My aunt Polly was one of the greatest cooks I have ever known, she could turn an ordinary taco into something your taste buds would never forget.
